GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND VIDEO EDITOR

Michael is a highly experienced creative, assisting the Nashville Spartans marketing and management teams in areas of graphic design, video editing, and website development. Together with Colby Collier and the Spartans leadership teams, Michael has helped create a strong national brand awareness, helping to ensure a successful first season in the USPHL.

Michael has a long background in hockey, both as a player and a content creator, allowing him to fuse his knowledge of the game with his creativity and design skills, to help the team manage sponsor-driven campaigns, as-well-as create content to engage with the Nashville-area community.

Charlie was born just off Exit 117 on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey into a NY Rangers household & began attending games at Madison Square Garden as soon as his Dad could sneak him in. In 2002, he moved to Nashville to complete his Education at Middle Tennessee State University & became an instant Predators fan (in the Western Conference). After graduation, he began his first media assignment with ESPN 106.7 The Fan & remained a part of the station's coverage until it switched formats in 2009. Charlie joined WNSR Sports Radio 560 as Nashville Predators correspondent & served in that position for nearly a decade, Hosting numerous shows, & covering Hockey at every level. After 25 years as a Professional Entertainer, Charlie launched the Renegades Of Puck Podcast in 2019 to feature the tremendous Hockey scene in Nashville, & far beyond More passionate than precise, he has dedicated his life to playing, talking about, growing, & championing the glorious game of Hockey everywhere he goes!

IN-HOUSE ANNOUNCER

A veteran Public Address announcer for multiple sports, Kristopher Martel serves as the In-House Announcer for the Nashville Spartans.

Graduating from Tennessee Tech University in 2007, Martel began a career in sports journalism covering the Nashville Predators for various outlets starting in 2010, culminating with a multi-year position generating digital content for FOX Sports. With multiple appearances on pregame broadcasts for FOX Sports Tennessee (now Bally Sports Tennessee), numerous hits on regional and national radio programs, and author of the popular “Tales from the Nashville Predators Locker Room”, Martel would co-host the weekly “Neutral Zone” show on WGFX-FM 104.5 The Zone in Nashville, Tennessee until early 2020.

Martel would leave sports journalism shortly after and focus his talent on public address, being the “Voice of the Hawks” for Green Hill High School in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee since the school’s inception. He begins his second season with the Nashville Spartans and is beyond excited to bring his passion and enthusiasm back to the rink for another year!

Martel resides with his wife, Amanda, and four children (Braylon, Kassie, Hannah, and Zoey) in Lebanon, Tennessee. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the latest video games with his son, watching his two oldest daughters play high-level travel softball, and watching his youngest daughter in both gymnastics and cheerleading.
